Sir Rocco Forte
Sir Rocco is Chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels the luxury hotel company he founded with his sister Olga Polizzi in 1996. A veteran of the hospitality industry, Sir Rocco joined Forte Plc in 1969, becoming CEO in 1983 and Chairman in 1992, when he succeeded his father Lord Charles Forte, who founded the company in 1934. Sir Rocco was knighted in December 1994 for services to the UK tourism industry and recieved the highest Italian accolade, the Gran Croce dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana, for his entrepreneurial merits and strong links with Italy in March 2005.

Olga Polizzi, CBE
Olga is the eldest of the late Lord Forte’s five daughters and is a younger sister to Sir Rocco, with whom she founded Rocco Forte Hotels. Olga Polizzi is a Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels and Deputy Chairman of the company. Prior to the creation of Rocco Forte Hotels, Olga was a Main Board Director and Director of Building and Design at Forte plc from 1983 to 1996, when it was taken over by Granada. Olga has two of her own hotels in the West Country – Hotel Tresanton in Cornwall and Hotel Endsleigh in Devon.

Nick Scade, MBE

Nick is a specialist in Hotels, Restaurants and general Food & Beverage operations. He was managing Director of the internationally renowned Michelin starred Boulestin Restaurant in Covent Garden and Chief Executive and Managing Director of The Restaurant Partnership Plc. He owned his own successful Restaurant, The New Mill, in the Thames Valley from 1985 to 2006. A fellow of the Institute of Hospitality he was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 1999 for Services to Education and Training in the Hospitality Industry. Nick is currently Chairman of the Board of the Academy of Food & Wine Service and Councillor and Board Member of the Wine Guild of the United Kingdom.

Andrew McKenzie

Andrew is Managing Director of The Vineyard Group, a position he has held since 1998. Prior to this, Andrew worked for Prince of Wales, Intercontinental and Thistle hotels, before joining Shire Hotels in 1990 to manage three of their properties before taking his current position. The Vineyard Group hotels have been winners of an unprecedented seven ‘Catey’ awards for excellence in various areas. Andrew was awarded the “Hotelier of the Year” title in 2009. He is a past Chairman and Director of Master Innholders, Committee member of the BHA, UK steering group member of R&C, and in the past has been founding Director of the National Skills Academy and has chaired the hotels association in Carlisle, Bristol and Newbury.

Geoff Booth
Geoff Booth
Vice Principal Westminster Kingsway College and Director of School of Hospitality and Business Enterprise, Westminster Kingsway. Thirty five years of management experience in hospitality, business and tourism sectors including education and training and commercial projects. Responsible for leading a team of over 100 staff, Strategic and financial planning; Curriculum design, and the development of commercial programmes and activities. Operational experience at all levels from pre 16yrs, levels 1-5A key element of the role is establishing business networks between key Industry and Education sector partners, and International liaison between hospitality and business providers in UK, US, Europe and the Far East.
